SUMMER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED (IF ONLY FOR A LITTLE WHILE)
You know, it is totally pitiful when it is 84 degrees out and one feels like a melting Hershey bar on the dashboard of a 1972 Cutlass Supreme (orange Cutlas with white top, my friends). Yesterday it was pouring out and 59 degrees, had been like that for most of the past six weeks. Today, BAM, hot. I didn't get a chance to get in the showere either so right now I feel GROSS. Too much information, I know.
My cousing called tonight. She calls me every month or so, especially since her mom died nearly two years ago. We are very seperate in age. I am 42 and she is around 55. She lived a sheltered and opinionated life in my aunt's house and has had to find her own way at a time that most women are secure in a worldly way ( then the hormones do a major shift and who knows who one is...) She decided to go into family court to get visitation rights to her grandson who is living with his mom. The mother is hellbent on making the child's father, my cousin's son, out to be a useless alcoholic (he is not). She tells the child that he need not listen to this guy because he is not his father. She is bitter and mean. Well Barabara went to court and now has one hour every other month as visitation. And, she has to pay $25 for the privilage each time (for supervision). Family court sucks mightily.
Speaking of things that suck mightily....the Mistress of the Haven called me yesterday afternoon. Seems she called 911 after her husband twisted her arm in a nasty way to take her car keys and he busted up some stuff in the house. She told the cops when they showed up she dialed by mistake. She was afraid what her husband would do after the cops left.
It is not even the full moon. Women are living under inhumane conditions. Children are being governed by textbook psychobabble spewed by those fearful of not walking down a mediocre path.
I live in a place where UFO's are common...seems like a good time to hitch a ride.
