Things are looking better today. Everyone is still very tired but that should be better by tomorrow if the baby goats don't insist on a 3am feeding like they did last night. The little doe is eating much better today and she is catching up to her sister in mastering the use of her legs. They are so darned cute it makes you just want to hold they and protect them. They are making little sounds like a mewing having not discoverd their MAAAAA yet. I dragged myself out of bed this morning around 6:15 to go to the barn. Fortunately the placenta was on the floor rather than still hanging out of Sprinkles bottom (sorry about the gross description but my sensor went to bed already). I cleaned her up and took the fence down between her and the other goats. She is doing well but seems sore. She didn't want to jump up on the milking stand. I can't blame her, she had a very difficult time yesterday. She is the best animal I have ever had the honor of sharing time with. She is so mellow and alert. She just wants to be near her people. Her goat barn mates she wants around too but only if she gets to be the boss. Goats have a pecking order also.
A. went to school today and asked her teacher if we can bring the babies to school next week. She said that would be fine so now A. is asking me how long until next week. She is so excited about the babies and loving them. She feeds them and wants to be with them constantly. She will feel so special showing them to her classmates and teachers.
Thats it for now. I have to catch up on sleep so I can get stuff done around here.
