I took A. to the doctor this morning and we came out with the knowledge that she has a virus. Duh, when you focus on the cough and headache and the strep test is negative, yeah, the kid has a cold. The belly ache I wasn't so sure about. The doctor said the virus is doing it. It just seems funny since the kid has a history of a cast iron stomach. A. was feeling better this afternoon but tonight she started complaining of the tummy ache again. I am going to send her to school tomorrow unless she looks drained. She has missed too much school and maybe getting back into her routine will help. I am a little concerned about tomorrow being a long day. The latern walk was postponed last week because it was so windy to tomorrow night. The children made lanterns out of leaves pressed between waxed paper. A paper botton was added with a tealight and a copper wire handle. They should look beautiful as the children walk through the night at a local farm. This event is a reminder that in the darkness we all carry an inner light. That during the dark time of year we look within for enlightenment. It is very beautiful and at the end the children come together in a circle and a mysterious and beautiful fairy wearing flowing diaphanous (the spelling don't look right)garments and offeres the children a star cookie. This is the last year A. can participate. The event is only for kindergarten through second grade children. I hope A. feels well and can go.
I am not going to talk about the milk inspector visit. I am not going to get stressed about it. REPEAT I am not going to get stressed about it.
The wind began blowing this evening and it blew our seventy degree day right off the eastern seaboard. Bummer, now we will be lucky to hit forty-five as a high. You know what that means, don't you? Soon we will be in the deep freeze with a blanket of snow that refuses to go away.
Sigh.
