There is hope. Spring may actually be here. I used chives from the garden in dinner tonight.
It took me until today to finally get out and pull last year's tomato plants out and just glance at the veggie garden. Last fall wasn't so good you know. The garden needs some serious clean up but it was nice to see the chives all cheerful and the sage coming back to life and even some parsley that may have another season. The raspberry plants are beginning to get leaves and the apricot trees are nearly ready to bloom. I even stepped out the front door (for the first time in two weeks since no baby goats are living on the landing) and pruned the roses. The daffodils and hyacinths are blooming and the grass is turning green.
Spring. I hope this isn't one of those April fool jokes.
