DULL WEEKEND

Baby it is cold outside. I have been reading other d'land folks in the midwest area and getting chills. Now the cold air has arrived and my bones are rattling.
The sun has been shining though. This is a very good thing. After an inch of snow to reflect the sun it was downright blinding today.
This three day weekend was pretty uneventful. The 4H meeting turned out to be a "business" meeting so it was a little boring for A. She is too young to hold an office and doesn't fully understand the mechanics of the club. We did talk about doing some community service activities like taking baby goats and maybe some chickens and bunnies to visit a nursing home and there is a shelter that takes abandoned farm animals that we may visit and donate materials to. Aleah was also just plain disappointed that there was no sleigh riding. We are going to try for sleigh riding again next month. Otherwise, the ice rink is not frozen so we can't skate and it is too cold to do much outside unless it involves alot of movement so we spent time in the barn just checking over the goats. The pregnant girls are getting HUGE. Selena looks like she is trying for quints this year. We have only another five weeks until we could start having babies, yikes.
Rainman was off work today so I didn't get out to socialize like I would have liked. Typically a day off from school like this is a good time to visit with friends it is hard to otherwise get together with...shame. It isn't like Rainman being home means something fun or different goes on around here.
Well, as you can tell, I am rather dull tonight so I think I will curl up with a book and lots of blankets.
