I am adding this to the herbwife entry for violet.....
This is the front garden by the front door. The creeping phlox is blooming and the hostas are poking through. The Ramapo Rhodadendron is beginning to bloom and the iris are almost ready to set buds....

The flower boxes flanking the entrance to the patio. They are around two of the columns that hold up the forty foot long deck.....
