HOLY SHIT!
Would you believe I went out the the barn this morning to find that Minnie, who was due 5/2 had kidded. She must have done it silently because I did have the monitor on. Two bucks and a doe. One buck was already dead and the other one damned close to it. The doe was the most alive but she was very very cold. The little buck, who had a half bald belly and his inner legs were nearly hairless, died within a short time of being in the house. The little doe was so chilled the inside of her mouth was ice cold. I submerged her in 103 degree water to warm her and then put her on a heating pad infront of the woodstove. Miraculously the doe is now warm and has a strong sucking reflex.
Here she is at 8am this morning laying on her heating pad by the woodstove.

To give you an idea of scale A. held her hand over the tiny girl's head. Her head is so small it is shorter than A's small hand. We weighed her just a short while ago and she is barely four pounds. A normal nubian kid should weigh around 7 or 8 or even more.

Luna's doeling is standing and doing great. She weighed in at slighly more than 5 pounds.
I am absolutely horrified to think what will happen next. One doe kidding early I can shrug off as a quirk but two is damned freaky.
I have to put a load of towels in. We are going through them like crazy trying to keep the kids warm.
