hooray for keeping the house warm! my oven somehow revived itself. the chickens ate the applecake, baked 2 days late.

You always have such great descriptions of your surroundings...I could just see your cat lifting her paws...great idea with the carpet scrap and bet she loves it. Keep those good foods and smells in the kitchen; it would be a treat to be there with you.
