A whirlwind week seems to be blowing through. With yesterday's playdate followed by today's parent teacher conference which will be followed by tomorrows playdate with magrit and two of her three little boys which will be followed by cheesemaking and a playdate at our house with another friend of A's from school I do believe I will need the weekend off in a remote quiet cave with a good book and a candle. Ah, to dream.
The parent-teacher conference today was very satisfying. A's teacher had only good things to say about A. and how she is relating to the other children. The Waldorf approach is so very different than the mainstream. Looking at the drawings A. has done in class and Mrs W. explaining the development of the child in terms of becomming fully incarnated, was very inspiring. A. is more advanced than many of her classmates in her drawing. Mrs. W. gave me a much appreciated pat on the back. It is nice to know that in the midst of all the chaos I have gotten something so important as right as I can.
I am looking forward to seeing Magrit tomorrow. With school schedules and Magrit doing daycare at her house it has been harder to get together since the school year began. The added bonus is rainman was off today and he is off tomorrow. Alas, so much to do so little time to see him.
