OVER THE RAINBOW

The current mood of greenwitch at www.imood.com

moon phases

...The wind began to switch - the house to pitch and suddenly the hinges started to unhitch.
Just then the Witch - to satisfy an itch went flying on her broomstick, thumbing for a hitch.
Munchkins:
And oh, what happened then was rich.
The house began to pitch. The kitchen took a slitch.
It landed on the Wicked Witch in the middle of a ditch,
Which was not a healthy situation for the Wicked Witch.
The house began to pitch. The kitchen took a slitch.
It landed on the Wicked Witch in the middle of a ditch,
Which was not a healthy situation for the Wicked Witch.
... Who began to twitch and was reduced to just a stitch of what was once the Wicked Witch.

And that is pretty much what happened when we went out to the barn this evening.

I might ask myself in hindsight why on earth I insisted on going out to the barn on time given the weather report. Not moments before we walked out of the kitchen we heard the report that a tornado warning was in effect for a higher elevation about 30 minutes from our house. It seemed as if all was well, the dangerous weather was traveling northeast not in our immediate direction. I can't imagine what it was like 30 minutes uphill. We stood in the barn while lightening flashed and a torrent of rain came down sideways. Luna decided that she was not coming out to be milked under those conditions. The buckling looked as if his eyes would pop right out of his stinky skull and A. was cowering between the two goats that did willingly enter the milking que. It was over rather quickly and the strange thing was it was still 72 degrees when it was over. After we came in the house there was another warning for a storm well to our south. I will have to find out how that one went from Magrit.

Before all that drama......

I started the holiday shopping proper today. Not my idea of a great time but the kid enjoys the whole thing. We don't do big bucks gifts anyway. It is amazing what my kid is happy with. A ream of paper and some new crayons does her just fine.

So, no inertia today. Not with that darned house being dropped on my sister.
